Garden of Remembrance at St. Paul's Cathedral. The Master and Clerk attended the opening of the Garden and The Master, together with The Master of all other Livery Companies placed a cross there.  Those present were the Lord Mayor, the Sheriffs, Alderman & Sheriff David Wootton and Sheriff Peter Cook, the Dean of St. Paul's the Rt Rev. Graeme Knowles, the Commissioner of the City of London Police and representatives of the London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service. The Royal British Legion were represented by the National President and Chairman: Lieut. Gen. Sir John Kiszely KCB MC  and Mr Peter Cleminson, together with Mrs Cecilia Harper National Chairman of The Royal British Legion Women's Section and Lieut. Col Michael White President of the Royal British Legion City of London Poppy Appeal.  Other representatives present included Mrs Sara Jones CBE JP President of The Poppy Factory and County Chairmen of the Royal British Legion Metropolitan Regional Counties and Royal British Legion Metropolitan Counties Women's Section, City of London Schools, The Bank of England and HM Forces. The moving Service was conducted by the Dean of St. Paul's with The Band of the Life Guards in attendance.

Lord Mayor's Prize Day for the City of London School 2.30pm

The Master attended the Prize Day at Guildhall which included the Tylers' and Bricklayers' Prize which was awarded to Alex Margolis. Several other Masters of Livery Companies were present and each prize was presented individually by the Lord Mayor who having shaken so many hands thoroughly deserved his refreshments (tea and cake) afterwards.
