450th Anniversary Year Dinner (Sold Out)

The Master invites all members of the Company, together with their spouse or a guest to a special Livery Dinner at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall,4 Dowgate Hill, London EC4R 2SH, on Wednesday 31st October to mark the conclusion of our 450th Anniversary Year.

The receiving line will open at 6.30pm for a Champagne Reception, and the Master and Wardens will process to Dinner at 7.15pm.

The dress code will be Black Tie and Livery Badges should be worn. Carriages will be at 10.30pm.

Applications for places at this dinner are limited by the size of the Hall and will be accepted on a strictly “first come” basis.  

Tallow Chandlers’ Hall is located on a site that their Company has owned since 1476. The current Hall is a Grade 1 listed building, built in 1672 by Past Master Tyler and Bricklayer Captain John Caine after the destruction of the original Hall during the Great Fire of London.

Having survived the Blitz, it is one of the few Livery Halls to remain unchanged since then. The Tylers and Bricklayers’ Coat of Arms is incorporated in the Oriel window  of the dining room of the Hall which was installed in 2005.
