Members will know that the Tylers & Bricklayers are very much involved in the dvelopment of skills related to our three trades of Bricklaying, Roof Tiling and Wall& Floor Tiling. And so it is this in in mind that our Master, Christopher Causer visited the national Skillbuild competition today in Milton Keynes. However, before doing so he managed to get a tour of the MK Dons football ground.

 At the Skillbuild event he saw a very impressive and wide range of skills on show.  Of particular interest was what was being done by our future skilled craftspeople at the Brickwork and Roof Slating competitions.

Following his tour of the competitions, the Master took great pleasure of presenting Certificates of Participation to the regional finalists in the Roofing Slate and Tiling practical skills test.

The Master in action once more handing out certificates of congratulations to those entries in the roofing category.

The finalists from Scotland and England battled it out over 3 days of intricate skilled tiling and roofing with the winner at the event to be chosen by the judging team that includes Liveryman Andy Rowlands and Freeman Bob Coutts.
