Cutlers Hall played host to the Master’s final Tyler’s and Bricklayer’s Livery event of the year. The event, hosted by the Master and Wardens, was attended by Court Assistants, Liverymen and their guests. Earlier in the afternoon the Court had welcomed four new Freemen, Peter Bell, Dougie Freeman, Roger Duphenois and Ian Kershaw, to the Livery, and they too attended the dinner.
In his speech to the guests, the Master, Piers Nicholson, recounted stories from his term of office and thanked all for their support over the past eleven months.
After a convivial dinner, the Master and his guests were entertained by students from the Guildhall School of Music.
Cutlers Hall came into use in 1888, and is the fifth hall owned by the Worshipful Company of Cutlers, the original having been completed shortly before the Great Fire of London, which destroyed it.
