In the Roof Slating and Tiling category two entries provoked intense debate amongst the assessors with The ME Hotel on The Strand ultimately receiving the winning vote for the combination of traditional materials with innovative design and excellent application. The scheme is all the more impressive for the fact that all of the slates were fixed by a single slater working at considerable height.
