BRICKWORKS - new Sculpture by Andrew Burton
exhibition at Jubilee Gardens, Canary Wharf, 7 April to 30 May 2008
Andrew Burton's work is inspired by the ancient monuments of India,
such as the Qutub-ud-Din near Delhi, built in 1199 and still the tallest
brick minaret in India. The two works illustrated here are
"Cathedral
2008", recycled fired brick and steel, 165 x 375 x 175 cm. and
"Chimney
2008", recycled fired brick and steel, 500 x 100 x100 cm.
