From a very early age I have been involved with our family roofing and construction company, Clarke Roofing Southern Ltd. I worked with my Father and brother and learnt my trade and thoroughly enjoyed being on the tools working on some amazing buildings, not least of which were Canterbury and Portsmouth Cathedrals plus many churches and stately homes.

Our current clients include The National trust, The Landmark Trust and Natural England to name but a few. I have a passion for heritage work and training young people.

I am on the Board of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors and a former chair of their Heritage Committee.  I am also a Fellow of the Institute of Roofing. After 50 years in the industry, I shall step back in July 2023 to a Non-Executive Director role, leanding on and overseeing the company's professional development plans.

In my spare time I enjoy travel, skiing, walking, golf, sailing and have been a lifetime supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion football club.
